ALL ABOUT ME
My Specialty at Honor Elementary School:
I am a 4 year old Kindergarten Teacher, a resource and encourager for parents, and an enthusiastic cheerleader for the children.
Philosophy:
My philosophy is to help children develop good self-confidence, self-esteem, and develop a love of learning. All children are a gift and deserve love, patience, and kindness. Every child deserves to be cherished for the individual that he or she is.
Education:
This 2016-2017 school year is my 25th year of teaching. This is my 15th year in 4K. I have previously taught Grade 3, Grade 5, and I was the K-8 Health Teacher. I have a B.S. in Education from UW Oshkosh plus Early Childhood Certification from Cardinal Stritch University.
Family:
I met my husband Tom at UW Oshkosh and have been married for 23 years. He was the Middle School Social Studies Teacher/Athletic Director/Coach/Principal at Saylesville School for 22 years. He is a sports fanatic and has coached many teams, as well as, all of his daughters in various sports throughout the years. He has lived in Neosho his whole life, attended Neosho Elementary School, and was a 12 year Neosho School Board Member. The Neosho/Rubicon communities will always be in his heart and soul.
My oldest daughter Alaina is a 22 year old senior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is a Journalism/Strategic Communication major with a Leadership/Sociology minor. She will be graduating in May. Alaina loves to play tennis, read, run, and watch "The Office".
My second oldest daughter Alexandra is a 19 year old freshman at UW Oshkosh. Her tentative major is Physician's Assistant. Alexandra likes to play sports. Tennis, Basketball, and Softball are a few of her favorites. She loves to shop too.
My third oldest daughter Ava is a 16 year old sophomore at Hartford Union High School. Ava enjoys playing sports. She has been on the Tennis team, Softball team, and hopes to be on the Basketball team as well. She is active in many clubs at school and likes hanging out with her friends.
My youngest daughter Audra is a 10 year old 4th Grader at Honor Elementary School. Audra loves to read, play softball, tennis, basketball, gymnastics, play the clarinet and piano, but most of all loves to be on stage. She has been in 10 musicals so far and hopes to be in many more.
